Discovery Education

Discovery Education, a division of the Discovery Channel, visited Madison Middle School to present their new series, "Frozen Planet".  Madison is a Discovery Education pilot site for Albuquerque Public Schools.  Teachers and students have access to video clips and educational activities that encourage students to discover the MAGIC of learning in all content areas. It was a special treat to have our Superintendent, Mr. Winston Brooks, and the Chief Academic Officer, Mrs.Linda Sink visit Madison and watch the "Frozen Planet" with our students. Mr. Brooks spoke with the students about staying connected in their learning and introduced the Discovery Education personnel. Mrs. Linda Sink, Chief Academic Officer has been instrumental in helping Madison access the training to implement the Discovery Education tools. Three Madison teachers were recognized for their use of the Discovery Education tools in their classrooms.  Kudos to Mrs. Nix, Mrs. Perry and Ms. Fitzbag!
